Spam Filters
What exactly is an e-mail spam filter? How does it function? How can you activate spam filtering?
Most email messages sent around the world these days are spam, i.e. unwelcome messages with various offers or with links to malicious software. Not only are such emails aggravating, but they also present a risk to your own PC, not to mention that you may be scammed. This is why, many email service providers resort to spam filters, which are software apps that ‘scan’ all incoming emails and filter the undesired ones based on their content – what words or phrases an email message consists of and how often they’re referred to, what site a specific link points to, what outgoing server the email is sent from, etc. Some hosting providers also make use of the databases of spam-tracing organizations devoted to the provision of the most up-to-date information about unasked-for email messages, to ensure that their customers will not receive any email message in their mailbox that should not be there.

Spam Filters in Cloud Hosting
The protection of any mailbox that you set up in a
cloud hosting account with our company is ensured by the powerful SpamAssassin email filter that we use. You can enable it through the Email Manager section of your Hepsia hosting Control Panel and it offers 5 levels of safety based on the spam score given to each email message in accordance with various parameters, such as the frequency of specific words and phrases, the sender, and so on. If you keep receiving spam emails, you can always increase the level or if you are afraid that you may skip an authentic email message, you can mix the automated filter with a custom one and redirect all emails from a particular sender to a separate email address. In case you decide that you no longer need a spam filter for a specific mailbox, you can deactivate it with only several clicks.

Spam Filters in Semi-dedicated Hosting
Our
semi-dedicated server plans provide top-level anti-spam protection guaranteed by the famous SpamAssassin anti-spam filter, which rates all inbound emails based on a spam score in accordance with parameters and patterns, such as the frequency of particular keywords and phrases, the subject, the sender, etc. When you activate the filter for any account through the Hepsia Control Panel’s Email Manager section, you can choose between five separate levels of security – from very high to very low. If you keep getting junk emails, you can increase the level, or if authentic emails are flagged as spam, you can decrease it. Enabling or disabling the anti-spam protection takes as little as two clicks of the mouse and you can select if the filtered email messages should be deleted momentarily or if they should be re-sent to a chosen email address where you can view them at a later time, so as to ensure that important emails will not disappear.
