Once turned on, this feature will literally lock a website inside its folder, so if an attacker takes over it, the other sites in the account will be hidden. Thus they will be protected from further intrusion. The JailHost option does not mean that you should not keep your Internet sites updated, but it will greatly minimize the damage.
JailHost in Cloud Hosting
In case you host your sites in a cloud hosting account from our company, you will be able to protect them using the JailHost option with just a couple of mouse clicks in your Hepsia Control Panel. The option is provided with all plans and can be enabled for each folder as the domains and subdomains in Hepsia have different folders, so that files for many different sites do not get mixed up like it regularly happens with other Control Panels. We have not activated JailHost by default because you might use scripts that need access to folders outside the primary site folder and this option may interfere with their proper functioning, but shielding all other folders is very easy. In case a secured Internet site gets hacked for some reason, we'll be able to recover it without delay as we will have multiple daily backups of your entire account and you will even be able to browse the available backups in Hepsia.
JailHost in Semi-dedicated Hosting
Our semi-dedicated hosting plans come with JailHost integrated by default. This option is not activated automatically when you add a domain because you may want to use a certain script which accesses several folders in the account, yet you will be able to activate it easily through your Hepsia Control Panel and protect the rest of your sites with just a few clicks. Hepsia is much better to use for those who have multiple websites since it keeps them in separate folders and does not keep the files for several Internet sites in the very same folder like it often happens with various other Control Panels. This allows us to offer JailHost as all the folders can be isolated from one another. If any of your sites is hacked, we'll almost instantly restore it using the multiple daily backups which we'll keep and meanwhile the attacker will not be able to do further damage as the access to your other sites will be cut off.
